Description
A 1979-S United States Mint 6-Piece Clad Proof Set in Original Government Packaging. The set is presented in a hinged hard plastic case, which is encased within a black cardboard slipcover. The slipcover is marked “United States Proof Set • 1979”, and the hard case features “UNITED STATES PROOF SET” on its front edge and a U.S. Great Seal motif on its closed lid. Inside, a vibrant red plastic insert, labeled “PACKAGED BY U.S. MINT”, securely holds six individually encapsulated U.S. coins: a Susan B. Anthony dollar, half dollar, quarter, dime, nickel, and cent. All visible obverses display “LIBERTY” and the year “1979”, while reverses prominently feature “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM”, with the dollar coin explicitly marked “ONE DOLLAR”. The coins, made of various silver, gold, and copper-toned clad metals, appear in excellent, uncirculated proof condition, exhibiting highly reflective surfaces through their clear capsules.
