Description
A vintage Italian hand-painted polychrome ceramic charger, featuring a vibrant fruit and foliage motif on the obverse. The design, executed in thick, raised glazes, depicts clusters of grapes, apples, plums, and a watermelon slice, interspersed with large green, yellow, and red leaves against a white ground with subtle blue and pink abstract elements. The rim is finished in a mottled green and brown. The earthenware material has a visible terracotta base on the verso, which is marked in brown script "MADE ITALY" and "G.R. / 1." The "MADE ITALY" inscription indicates its country of origin.
