Description
A pair of Fiesta Homer Laughlin ceramic dinnerware items in Persimmon, introduced in 1989. The lot comprises a footed bowl with two handles, commonly identified as an Onion Soup bowl, and a single-handled mug, identified as a Jumbo Cup. Both pieces are finished in a vibrant orange-red glaze and feature a simple, robust design. Prominent concentric rings are visible on the interior bottom of the bowl and on the base of both items. The underside of the bowl is marked ‘fiesta HLC. USA’. The mug’s base bears the stamp ‘HOMER LAUGHLIN CHINA LEAD FREE USA’ surrounding a stylized ‘HLC’ logo, with the number ‘558’ below.
Bowl: 5.5 inches (14 cm) diameter, 2.25 inches (5.7 cm) tall.
Mug: 4.75 inches (12.1 cm) diameter, 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) tall.
