Description
A vintage fixed-base bench vise manufactured by Sears, model number 506-51770. The vise is constructed of cast iron or heavy steel, designed for bolt-down mounting via two holes in the base. It features serrated parallel jaws, an exposed screw mechanism, and a crank handle. This type of tool is commonly used in machinist or drill press applications. Visible markings in raised lettering identify the manufacturer and model on the fixed housing as SEARS and 506-51770. The opposite side of the fixed housing is marked MADE IN U.S.A. and indicates the size as 3 1/2, likely referring to the jaw width.
