Description
A single antique railroad switch signal lamp manufactured by the Adams & Westlake Company (Adlake) of Chicago. The lamp is constructed of heavily oxidized metal and features a central housing designed to prevent condensation, evidenced by the embossed text on the top panel. The lamp is designed with two opposing signal visors, one painted industrial green and the other signal red, surrounding dark, vertically ribbed glass lenses. The lamp rests on a four-footed cast metal base. The central housing features a perforated ventilation cap. Visible manufacturer inscription reads: THE ADLAKE NON-SWEATING LAMP CHICAGO.
