Description
A single antique porcelain covered ewer manufactured by Reinhold Schlegelmilch (R.S. Prussia). The piece features a tall, slender body with ornate molding, a scalloped base, and a matching scalloped rim. The decoration utilizes a high-gloss glaze in blended hues of yellow, blue, and green, serving as a background for transfer-decorated and hand-painted pink and white roses. The piece is finished with gold gilt accents along the rims and the openwork handle. The handle is currently tied with jute twine. The base bears the red stamped R.S. Prussia mark, consisting of the R.S. monogram within a wreath topped by a star, and the word ‘Prussia’ beneath. Handwritten text on the body notes "Prussia – hand" and "Lid Repaired."
