Description
A hand-carved wooden mask attributed to Indonesian folk art tradition. The mask features an elongated ovoid face with deep-set, closed eyes, a prominent nose, and slightly parted lips. The wood is treated with a variegated dark stain, exhibiting shades of black, brown, and olive green. Decoration is applied using matte red and black paint, outlining stylized birds and geometric patterns across the forehead and cheeks. The interior is rough-hewn and dark. A small hole is drilled near the top center for hanging. The interior bears a small neon green sticker marked 206.
