Description
A single cylindrical American advertising stoneware crock, commonly identified in the market as a Wesson Oil utensil holder or beater jar. The vessel features a cream-colored salt glaze with dark blue stenciled decoration. A horizontal blue band encircles the body. Above the band is the inscription "Wesson Oil" in block lettering. Below the band is the script inscription "For Making Good Things to Eat." The material is typical of American advertising pottery.
