Description
A collection of two items, including a novelty double-sided washboard and a figural cast metal boot. The washboard features a wooden frame partially painted red. One side displays a scrubbing surface composed of red-painted wooden dowels beneath a folk art style header panel decorated with painted floral motifs. This side also bears a blue sticker marked "121." The reverse side utilizes a galvanized corrugated metal scrubbing panel beneath a wooden header stamped with the text "No. BUSY BEE 16." The lower crossbar of the washboard has been adapted for hanging use with four attached metal hooks. The accompanying item is a heavy cast metal button boot, likely cast iron, finished in black paint. The sole of the boot bears impressed markings reading "I EMIC" and "P I."
