The tool is constructed from drop-forged tool steel and features a knurled adjustment nut with serrated jaws. Embossed markings on the handle include J.P. DANIELSON CO. JAMESTOWN, N.Y., 14 IN., DROP FORGED, MADE IN U.S.A., and TOOL STEEL. The hook jaw is also marked with the size 14.
