24 MARCH NATIONAL CHEESESTEAK DAY AUCTION
Lot 96:
Description
This lot consists of eight pieces of clear pressed glass from the Depression era. The collection features two distinct patterns. Three footed tumblers are decorated in the Royal Lace pattern, attributed to the Hazel-Atlas Glass Company, which is characterized by a lace-like pressed design and a central medallion with triple-dot clusters and stylized fleur-de-lis motifs. The remaining five pieces include four square bowls with scalloped corners and one covered sugar bowl with two handles and a lidded finial. These five pieces are in the Dragon pattern, attributed to the Fenton Art Glass Company, featuring mythical dragon figures among elaborate floral scrolls and bouquets. All pieces are constructed of clear crystal glass. No manufacturer marks, characters, or signatures are present on the bases; identification is based on pattern recognition.
