Description
A rectangular cast iron warming stand or long trivet produced in a Victorian revival style. The item features an elaborate openwork top grate decorated with scrolling foliate and fleur-de-lis motifs. The grate is elevated by a footed base that incorporates a central horizontal bar with three recessed circular wells designed to hold tea light candles for heat distribution. The top grate is secured to the base structure with Phillips head screws. No maker marks, signatures, or foundry stamps are visible on the top, underside, or base of the item.
