Description
A mid-century molded chalkware coin bank depicting a character in the style of Howdy Doody. The figure is modeled in a reclining or seated pose with large, side-glancing blue eyes, rosy cheeks, and a smiling expression. The character is holding a textured basket and a stylized ear of corn with green husks. The piece is decorated with a multi-color airbrushed finish in shades of red, orange, yellow, and green. A coin slot is integrated into the upper back and neck area. The item features a visible mold seam along the sides and an unfinished, porous plaster base.
