Description
A child-sized rocking armchair constructed in the American Country style. The frame is made of hardwood with a warm reddish-brown stain. The design features a ladder-back backrest with two horizontal slats and a shaped top rail. The vertical posts are turned and topped with acorn-style finials. The chair has flattened, shaped arms and turned stretchers, with the front stretcher featuring ring-turned detailing. The seat is made of woven splint in a basketweave pattern. The legs are mounted on curved rockers. No manufacturer marks are visible on the piece.
