Description
This 2004 United States Mint Silver Proof Set contains 11 coins struck at the San Francisco Mint, each bearing the S mint mark. The collection includes a Lincoln cent, two Jefferson nickels from the Westward Journey Nickel Series featuring the Peace Medal and Keelboat designs, a Roosevelt dime, five 50 State Quarters representing Michigan, Florida, Texas, Iowa, and Wisconsin, a Kennedy half dollar, and a Sacagawea dollar. According to the included Certificate of Authenticity, the dime, five quarters, and half dollar are composed of 90% silver and 10% copper, while the cent, nickels, and dollar are composed of standard proof base metal alloys. Each coin exhibits a proof finish with mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices. The set is presented in its original government packaging, consisting of two clear plastic protective lenses and a red and white outer box featuring the Statue of Liberty. The original Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Director Henrietta Holsman Fore, is included.
