Description
This lot consists of a pair of US Kennedy Half Dollars dated 1968. Both specimens were struck at the Denver Mint and bear the D mint mark on the obverse above the date. Each coin is composed of a 40 percent silver-clad alloy with a fineness of 0.400, containing approximately 0.1479 troy ounces of net pure silver per coin. The specimens feature the standard Kennedy obverse and the Great Seal reverse designs with reeded edges. These 40 percent silver-clad coins were issued as a transitional silver coinage between 1965 and 1970.
