Description
This 2023 US Mint Silver Proof Set consists of ten coins struck at the San Francisco Mint, each bearing the S mint mark. The set includes a Roosevelt dime, five American Women quarters, and a Kennedy half dollar struck in 99.9 percent fine silver. Additional coins in the set are a copper-plated zinc Lincoln penny, a cupro-nickel Jefferson nickel, and a manganese-brass Native American 1 dollar coin. The obverse designs feature standard portraits of Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, Franklin D. Roosevelt, George Washington, John F. Kennedy, and Sacagawea with her infant son. The reverse of the penny features the Union Shield, the nickel shows Monticello, the dime displays a torch with olive and oak branches, and the half dollar bears the Presidential Coat of Arms. The five silver quarters commemorate Bessie Coleman, Edith Kanaka’ole, Eleanor Roosevelt, Jovita Idar, and Maria Tallchief. The reverse of the 1 dollar coin honors Maria Tallchief and the American Indians in ballet. All coins exhibit proof condition with frosted cameo devices and brilliant, mirror-like fields. The collection is housed in two original protective plastic lenses and is accompanied by the original US Mint box, a Certificate of Authenticity, and a detailed specifications booklet.
