A small-size United States $1 Silver Certificate, Series 1957 A. The obverse features a central portrait of George Washington with a blue Treasury seal to the right and blue serial numbers E 05973319 A. The note bears the signatures of Elizabeth Rudel Smith, Treasurer of the United States, and C. Douglas Dillon, Secretary of the Treasury. The reverse displays the Great Seal of the United States printed in green ink. This series was among the first to include the motto IN GOD WE TRUST on the reverse.
