Description
This US Series 1957 One Dollar Silver Certificate features a central portrait of George Washington on the obverse. The note displays a blue Treasury seal on the right and matching blue serial numbers T 06412976 A at the top right and bottom left. Signatures present are Ivy Baker Priest, Treasurer of the United States, and Robert B. Anderson, Secretary of the Treasury. The face of the note bears the inscriptions SILVER CERTIFICATE and ONE DOLLAR IN SILVER PAYABLE TO THE BEARER ON DEMAND. The reverse depicts the two sides of the Great Seal of the United States flanking a large central ONE with the motto IN GOD WE TRUST above. This is a small-size legal tender note. Obverse plate positions include A1 and A485; reverse plate number is 237.
