Description
A contemporary licensed reproduction advertising thermometer for Gulfpride Motor Oil. The sign is constructed of porcelain enamel over a pressed metal base with flanged edges for a three-dimensional profile. The face features a high-gloss blue finish with the iconic orange and white Gulf disc logo. Text on the front includes Use… Gulfpride in white cursive and THE WORLD’S FINEST MOTOR OIL in orange block lettering. The temperature scale is marked from -70 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit with a functional glass tube containing red liquid. The reverse side features an adhesive label stating Gulf Official Licensed Product and confirms it was manufactured in China under license from Gulf Oil Limited Partnership. Two pre-drilled mounting holes are present at the top and bottom edges.
