Description
A small decorative ceramic pitcher or bud vase constructed from porcelain or fine-grained whiteware. The form includes a bulbous body, a slender neck with a flared, scalloped spout, and a single C-scroll handle with a molded, branch-like texture. The white body features a transfer-printed floral design of purple violets with green foliage. The neck and footed base are finished in a pale green glaze. The handle and a fluted band on the neck are decorated with 22-karat gold gilding. The underside features a reddish-brown printed mark containing the word WARRANTED in an arch over 22 K. GOLD and U S. A.
