Description
This vintage-style wall-mounted telephone is manufactured by Com-Line under the brand name The County-Line Telephone. Designed to replicate the appearance of an early 20th-century magneto wall phone, the unit features a rectangular oak wood cabinet with a light-to-medium finish. The front face is equipped with a push-button keypad arranged in a circular pattern to simulate a traditional rotary dial, featuring standard 0-9 digits, a star button, and a pound button labeled REDIAL. The center of the keypad contains a white circular insert with the text Wait for dial tone. Two external brass-finished ringer bells are mounted on the upper front portion of the cabinet. The handset consists of a turned wooden handle with black plastic transmitter and receiver caps, resting on a brass-colored metal cradle. Both the handset and the line are connected via brown fabric-covered cords. Technical features include a ringer volume control switch on the lower side and a modern RJ11 modular jack on the reverse. Identification includes a black-enameled brass plate on the front reading THE COUNTY-LINE TELEPHONE DENVER, CO. U.S.A. and a technical label on the reverse with model number 425, serial number 96014, and FCC registration information.
