Description
A vintage Pyrex glass measuring cup, model number 516, manufactured in the United States. The vessel is constructed of clear, heavy-duty glass and features an integral D-shaped handle and a tapered pouring spout. It is decorated with fired-on red measurement graphics on both sides. One side displays US customary units with graduations for ounces (4, 8, 12, 16 oz) and cups (1, 1 1/2, 2 cups). The opposite side features metric measurements including milliliters (100 ml to 500 ml) and liters (1/4 and 1/2 liter). The base is embossed with a central PYREX mark with a registered trademark symbol. The perimeter of the base is embossed with the following text: NOT FOR STOVE TOP OR BROILER USE, MADE IN U.S.A., 516, and FOR LIQUIDS ONLY.
