Description

A collection of three sterling silver (.925 fineness) coins from Canada and Australia. The group includes a 1910 Canadian 25-cent coin featuring an Edward VII obverse and a 1915 Canadian 25-cent coin with a George V obverse. Both Canadian coins feature a crowned maple leaf wreath reverse and show heavy circulation wear. The third coin is a 1942 Australian Florin featuring a George VI bare-headed obverse and the Australian coat of arms reverse. This specimen carries the S mint mark above the date, indicating production at the San Francisco Mint. Inscriptions include EDWARDVS VII DEI GRATIA REX IMPERATOR (Edward VII, by the Grace of God, King, Emperor), GEORGIVS V DEI GRA: REX ET IND:IMP: (George V, by the Grace of God, King and Emperor of India), and GEORGIVS VI D:G:BR:OMN:REX F:D:IND:IMP. (George VI, by the Grace of God, King of all the Britains, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India). All three coins possess reeded edges.
