Description
This vintage hard-sided suitcase is manufactured by Belber, identified by a metal plaque on the exterior featuring a penguin and city skyline logo. The case is constructed with a yellow herringbone-patterned canvas exterior complemented by brown leather trim and a stitched leather handle. The luggage features metal locking latches and two hinges on the reverse. The interior is lined and fitted with fabric retaining straps. The interior lid contains handwritten provenance in ink that reads: HUGH MERRY / UNION SPRINGS, ALA / INVERNESS, ALA / 1940.
