Description
A collection of embroidered United States Air Force (USAF) uniform insignia and rank patches, primarily associated with the 36th Tactical Fighter Wing and the 22nd Tactical Fighter Squadron during the Vietnam and Cold War eras. The collection includes one embroidered name tape with U.S. AIR FORCE in blue thread on olive drab green cotton webbing. A circular unit patch for the 36th Tactical Fighter Wing features a central crest on a blue field with white stars and a white scroll at the base inscribed 36TH TACTICAL FIGHTER WING in red embroidery. Two oval squadron patches represent the 22nd Tactical Fighter Squadron, known as the Stingers, featuring a cartoon bumblebee in flight gear carrying bombs on a light blue background. The rank insignia consist of multiple silver-on-blue embroidered chevrons, including one large Master Sergeant (E-7) insignia and several smaller Technical Sergeant (E-6) insignia.
