Description
Produced by the Indiana Glass Company, this iridescent lime green carnival glass covered dish is a two-piece set in the Hen on Nest pattern. The piece features a pressed glass lid in the form of a nesting hen with detailed molded feathering on the body, wings, and tail, sitting upon an oval base characterized by a decorative beaded rim. The glass exhibits a bright lime green base color with an applied iridescent surface treatment that displays vibrant spectrum highlights of gold, pink, and violet. The interior of the lid contains a molded circular mark with a textured feather-like pattern. The base is constructed with concentric circular ridges on the interior and a smooth underside.
