Description

This Western-themed horse figurine dates to the mid-20th century, likely produced in Japan during the 1950s. Similar examples were commonly used as decorative ornaments for mantle clocks or as standalone toy figures. The piece is constructed of cast white metal, commonly referred to as pot metal, featuring a cold-painted finish in tones of tan, brown, gold, and black. The horse is modeled in a static standing pose and is fully tacked with a Western-style saddle and bridle. The saddle displays molded scrollwork on the fenders and tapaderos, including a small five-pointed star motif on the left stirrup cover. The reins are made of a brass-toned ball chain. No factory marks, model numbers, or signatures are visible on the figurine.
