Description
A vintage clear glass syrup jug produced for Coca-Cola for soda fountain service. The one-gallon vessel features a molded finger-loop handle and a red metal screw-top cap. The shoulder is embossed with the text ONE GALLON. The lower edge of the body is embossed with the script Duraglas mark, and the base displays the Owens-Illinois Glass Company trademark consisting of a diamond and circle with an I, accompanied by plant and date codes 6, 8, and 2. The jug retains a large green and cream paper label featuring the red fishtail or arciform logo, which dates the piece to the late 1950s or early 1960s. The label includes the script Coca-Cola logo and the block-letter Coke trademark, along with an ingredient list and detailed mixing instructions for fountain service. The label identifies the manufacturer as The Coca-Cola Company with a principal office in New York, N.Y.
