A two-piece pressed glass covered dish manufactured by the Hazel-Atlas Glass Company in the Bird on Nest pattern. The lid is shaped as a nesting bird with detailed feathering, while the circular base features a molded basketweave design and a scalloped rim. The item is constructed from cobalt blue glass with an iridescent carnival finish. The underside of the base is marked with the Hazel-Atlas trademark, a raised square containing a capital letter H
