Description
A contemporary studio pottery hen on nest covered dish by Kilby. This two-piece earthenware set includes a figural lid in the form of a nesting hen and an oval base featuring a molded basket-weave pattern. The piece is finished in a glossy dark brown glaze with mottled, sponged highlights in yellow and light green. The underside of the base is incised with the maker’s signature KILBY.
