Description
This lot features a pair of matching stylized rooster figurines produced by the Houze Glass Company. Each figurine is constructed from opaque mint green jadeite glass, displaying the characteristic semi-opaque quality and subtle internal marbling typical of the material. The roosters are modeled in a proud, upright stance with decorative, flowing lines articulating the tail feathers and combs. The figures are supported by integral circular bases with recessed centers. A maker mark consisting of an embossed capital letter H within a triangle is located on the underside rim of one base, identifying the manufacturer as the Houze Glass Company.
