Description
An Ellgreave Pottery white earthenware teapot featuring a bulbous, multi-faceted paneled body. The exterior is decorated on both sides with transfer-printed pink chrysanthemum-style floral motifs accented by green and charcoal-gray foliage. The teapot includes its original matching lid with a round finial and a steam vent. Decorative gilding is applied to the spout tip, scrolled handle, rim, and lid. The base of the teapot displays the impressed marks ELLGREAVE and ENGLAND along with a hand-painted decorator or pattern code in black that reads L / 4 4.
