Description
A pair of green uranium depression glass footed table service items. The set comprises an open sugar bowl and a creamer, both manufactured from pressed glass containing uranium oxide which fluoresces bright neon-green under ultraviolet light. Each piece has a flared body with vertical fluting and a decorative notched band along the upper rim. The sugar bowl features two C-shaped handles and the creamer features a single handle with a pinched pouring spout. A raised mark is visible on the interior base of the sugar bowl, consisting of a capital letter H inside a triangle (photo 6). This character is not legible as a name.
