Description
A set of three American clear tempered glass nesting bowls featuring a screen-printed decorative band in red. The pattern, identified as Checkered Cherry, consists of alternating clusters of cherries with leaves and a rectangular checkered grid. Each bowl is designed with a rounded body and a thick, slightly flared rim.
The bases of the bowls contain embossed manufacturing information. The largest bowl bears a circular embossed mark on the underside reading 325 PYREX (R) 2.5 L CORNING NY USA 32 FOR MICROWAVE NO STOVETOP OR BROILER 32. One of the smaller bowls bears a similar embossed mark reading PYREX (R) 322 1 L CORNING NY USA 20 FOR MICROWAVE NO STOVETOP OR BROILER 20. The capacities indicated by the marks are 2.5 liters and 1 liter respectively.
