Description
A United States 1922 Peace silver dollar. The coin is composed of 90% silver and 10% copper. The obverse features the left-facing profile of Liberty wearing a radiate crown, with the inscriptions LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRVST, and the date 1922. The reverse depicts an eagle perched on a rock clutching an olive branch, inscribed with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, and PEACE. A small, impressed mint mark consisting of the letter S is visible on the reverse, located just above the tip of the eagle’s tail feathers and below the letter O in ONE (photo 3), identifying production at the San Francisco Mint.
