Description

A United States 1952 Benjamin Franklin half dollar. This specimen is struck in 90% silver and 10% copper. The obverse features a right-facing portrait of Benjamin Franklin with the literal inscriptions LIBERTY to the left, the date 1952 above the shoulder, and IN GOD WE TRUST to the right. The reverse depicts the Liberty Bell with a small eagle to the right and the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and HALF DOLLAR around the periphery, with the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM to the left of the bell. There is no mint mark visible above the bell’s yoke on the reverse, identifying this as a product of the Philadelphia Mint. The coin is presented in a square, clear plastic protective holder. The coin features a reeded edge.
