Description
A dark grey ceramic cat figurine, dated 1926, depicted seated with pointed ears and a direct gaze. It features a glossy, dark grey glaze with lighter grey striped accents and extensive, deliberate or age-related crazing throughout its surface. The unglazed base includes a circular opening and is marked ‘1926’ in purple ink. An accompanying separate paper band bears the handwritten English inscription: ‘Cat given to Katherine by her Aunt in 1926.’
