Lot 19:
Description
This Native American Zuni style fetish necklace features a large, handcrafted carved pendant suspended from a beaded strand. The pendant, shaped like a stylized bear effigy, is crafted from a light, bone-like material with natural variations and striations. It is accented by a bezel-set, rounded turquoise-colored stone (likely turquoise) beneath a textured copper-toned metal element resembling leaves or feathers. The necklace strand comprises numerous tubular, light-colored carved bone beads with incised line patterns, interspersed with smaller round plastic or resin beads in red, green, and black. These are strung on a grey cord, which terminates in a simple silver-toned metal hook-and-eye clasp. No visible maker’s marks or inscriptions.
