Description
A collection of U.S. military awards and insignia from the mid-20th century, featuring a National Defense Service Medal and a Republic of Vietnam Service Medal. The National Defense Service Medal is silver-toned, depicting an eagle, and is accompanied by its corresponding ribbon bar. The Republic of Vietnam Service Medal is bronze-toned, inscribed “REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM SERVICE” with a bamboo and stylized dragon motif, also with its corresponding ribbon bar. Both the National Defense Service Medal and the Republic of Vietnam Service Medal suspension medals and their respective ribbon bars bear two bronze stars. The collection also includes two gold-toned circular pins with raised “US” lettering, one larger and one smaller, and a single smaller gold-toned pin featuring an eagle emblem with outstretched wings. The two medals are affixed to their original or presentation cards.
