Description
A vintage paperback telephone directory and call guide for Evergreen, Alabama, published by South Central Bell in July 1969. The front cover features a full-color photograph of a woman using a push-button telephone, characteristic of late 1960s graphic design, alongside the “Yellow Pages” and “BELL SYSTEM” logos. Handwritten numbers “578-1228” and “1741” are present on the front. The back cover promotes long-distance calling with the text “The weekend is a wonderful time to VISIT BY LONG DISTANCE Rates are low all weekend” and a large blue telephone icon, also featuring the South Central Bell logo. The interior includes an index, call guide instructions, alphabetical residential and business listings, and various period advertisements and illustrations. Constructed from paper with a stapled spine.
