A vintage Focal Kmart 22x60mm spotting scope kit, manufactured in Japan for Kmart Corporation, likely from the mid-to-late 20th century. The kit includes a black-finished spotting scope, possibly metal and/or plastic with a textured body, and a black heavy metal tripod, both nested in original styrofoam inserts. The cardboard box is extensively marked “FOCAL, ” “PRECISION MADE, ” and includes technical data such as “CLEAR APERTURE: 60mm, ” “MAGNIFICATION: 22X, ” and “LIGHT COLLECTING POWER: 73X, ” with “CODE NO: 20-20-62” also visible.
