A pair of United States Franklin Silver Half Dollars, comprising a 1952 issue and a 1957 issue. Both coins feature a profile of Benjamin Franklin on the obverse, inscribed “LIBERTY” and “IN GOD WE TRUST.” The reverse of each depicts the Liberty Bell, flanked by a small eagle, with the legends “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” and “HALF DOLLAR.” The 1952 coin is characterized by iridescent golden-brown toning covering both sides. Both coins are composed of a silver-colored metal.
