Dukes Of Hazzard extravaganza end of an era A COLLECTOR'S STASH SOFT CLOSE DEC 4 630PM CST
Lot 22:
Description
A 1:18 scale die-cast model car, replicating the ‘General Lee,’ a 1969 Dodge Charger from “The Dukes of Hazzard” television series, identified by market consensus as a ‘Dirty Edition’ due to its speckled finish. The model features an orange body with the number “01” on the doors, “GENERAL LEE” lettering, and a Confederate battle flag decal on the roof. Constructed from die-cast metal with plastic components for the interior and details, it is housed in its original, unopened cardboard and plastic window box packaging. The packaging identifies the manufacturer as RC2 Brands, Inc., dated ©2005, and states “Made in China / Fabriqué en Chine.” Other visible markings on the box include “JOY RIDE” branding, “ITEM NO. 32485 / NO. D’ARTICLE 32485,” a “WB” (Warner Bros.) logo, and a “DODGE Official Licensed Product” logo. The model features opening doors and hood, a detailed engine, interior, and chassis, and steerable front wheels. The packaging also notes it “CONFORMS TO SAFETY REQUIREMENTS OF ASTM F963-03 / CONFORME AUX EXIGENCES DE SÉCURITÉ DE ASTM F963-03.” This model is often associated with the Ertl American Muscle line in the collector’s market.
