Description
A pair of 1980 ERTL Smokey and the Bandit II 1/87 scale die-cast metal semi trucks. Produced by ERTL, these replica toy tractor-trailer trucks are presented in their original blister packaging. They are styled as promotional merchandise for “Smokey AND THE Bandit II,” featuring images of Burt Reynolds and Jerry Reed on the vibrant yellow and black cardboard backing, and are marked with a copyright date of “© 1980 Universal City Studios, Inc.” Each 1/87 scale truck displays a detailed desert scene with horse-drawn wagons on its trailer. One truck features a gold-colored cab and trailer and the other a silver-colored cab and trailer, both accented with blue stripes. The reverse of the packaging provides manufacturing details, stating “Made in Hong Kong for THE ERTL COMPANY Dyersville, Iowa 52040 U.S.A. Subsidiary of Kidde, Inc.” Hand-written numbers, “0412” and “0822,” are visible on the back of each package respectively.
