The vessel is covered in a thick, high-gloss dark brown slip glaze, exhibiting pronounced horizontal streaking that reveals the lighter reddish-brown clay body underneath, characteristic of folk pottery. The item includes its original fitted domed lid, which features a center knop and a single vent hole. The unglazed base reveals the reddish-brown clay composition. A temporary inventory marking consisting of handwritten figures on blue painter’s tape is affixed to the side.
