Description
This lot comprises a 2001 United States Mint Proof Set and a 2001 United States Mint 50 State Quarters Proof Set. The standard proof set features five highly polished coins dated 2001: a copper-colored Cent, a silver-colored Nickel, Dime, Half Dollar, and a gold-colored Sacagawea Golden Dollar, each displaying standard U.S. coinage designs. The 50 State Quarters proof set contains five silver-colored quarters, also dated 2001, celebrating New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Kentucky, with unique state-specific reverse designs and George Washington on the obverse. Both sets are housed in their original clear plastic display cases and accompanied by the original white and blue cardboard packaging and a Certificate of Authenticity. All coins exhibit a brilliant, mirror-like proof finish characteristic of their issue, appearing in excellent, uncirculated condition within their sealed mint packaging, which also bears English text denoting the collection titles, year “2001,” and U.S. Mint information.
