Description
A 2000 United States Mint 50 State Quarters 5-Coin Clad Proof Set, presented in its original government packaging. The set includes an outer cardboard box featuring an eagle graphic and the text “UNITED STATES MINT 50 STATE QUARTERS PROOF SET™ 2000”, along with the names of the five featured states: Massachusetts, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, and Virginia. Also included is the original Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Philip N. Diehl, Director of the U.S. Mint, confirming the set’s provenance. The five cupro-nickel clad quarters, all dated 2000, exhibit a proof finish and are housed within a clear plastic display case. Each coin features the standard George Washington obverse with “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”, “LIBERTY”, “IN GOD WE TRUST”, and “QUARTER DOLLAR”. The distinct state-specific reverses include: Massachusetts (Minute Man over map), Maryland (State House Dome), South Carolina (Palmetto tree and wren), New Hampshire (Old Man of the Mountain), and Virginia (Jamestown ships).
