Description
A vintage ceramic basket-form planter attributed to McCoy Pottery, featuring the popular Leaves and Berries pattern. The object is constructed of glazed ceramic with a high-arching handle. The body is highly molded, depicting large, stylized leaves or fronds surrounding the exterior, accented by applied clusters of dark berries or nuts near the center handle base. The glaze palette utilizes streaked brown glazes on the handle and leaf edges, contrasting with a pale mint green color used for the interior and leaf veins. The underside of the base features an impressed manufacturer’s mark, clearly visible through the crackled green glaze, reading Mc Coy.
