Description
A Japanese earthenware lidded cooking vessel, consistent with a donabe or casserole, often associated with CtoC Japan Select or Banko Ware production. The heavy ceramic body is finished with a glossy glaze and decorated using slip-painted techniques featuring abstract geometric patterns in gray and blue. Large, stylized fish motifs are overlaid in black and dark blue on the lid. The bowl features two applied handles. The lid includes a single ventilation hole and a centrally located, recessed handle structure. The base displays an unglazed foot ring and a prominent central wheel-thrown spiral mark. A price sticker reading "$9.00" is affixed to the lid.
